SOUTHERN THUMB

She has always loved music, but became more involved when she joined the Anchor Bay High School Choir. There Jeannie also took a music Appreciation Class. In 2002 she joined the Port Huron Community Chorus, and was a member for two yrs. In 1972 she sang for her first wedding.  Since then Jeannie have sung for many, many, weddings and funeral in Churches all over MI.  

 

Currently Jeannie is the cantor/vocalist for Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish in Emmett, MI. In 1980 thru 1986 she took piano lessons from Southern Thumb Music Studio. And in 1999 started teaching piano there.In addition to teaching piano Jeannie started taking lessons to learn the violin.

Teaching Piano at Southern Thumb Music Studio has been very rewarding for her and to see the accomplishments of the children and adult students she has taught, has been great!
