Mary Jo joined JMR Jewelers in mid-2009. Prior to working at JMR, she was a sales associate for a number of years and eventually became an assistant manager at esteemed jewelry retailer Bailey Banks & Biddle. Mary Jo got into retail jewelry sales based on her confidence, outgoing nature as well as her communicating and listening skills.
As Mary Jo continued through her career as a jewelry retail sales associate, she added computer and Internet skills to her work experience. Since joining JMR Jewelers Mary Jo has taken on several tech-related

duties including website development and electronic marketing. She also assists with ordering and inventory management in the back office. And, on the showroom floor Mary Jo is also a gold buying expert.

It’s no surprise Joel became a retail jeweler. As a young boy he grew up around diamonds with his father working as a sales rep for a well-known diamond manufacturing and trading company. Joel’s father often spoke about the work he dedicated his life to and what excited him about diamonds. This same passion for diamonds was ignited in Joel early in life.
After receiving a business degree at Penn State University Joel then earned his Graduate Gemologist certificate from the Gemological Institute of America. Later he met his wife in 1999. They became life

Roger has been a master jeweler for 40 years, a decade of which has been spent with JMR Jewelers since the store’s opening in 2003. When his family moved to America they lived in New York City. Roger got the jewelry bug as a young boy when his brothers worked in a jewelry factory in New York’s famed jewelry district. He worked with silver and gold early on testing his skills on hand-made jewelry.
With each job he added more skills to his repertoire, making him the consummate jeweler. He eventually became a Certified Master Jeweler. For 20 years he owned his

own business called Jet Set Jeweler, where he did repairs and custom work for retail customers and jewelry store owners. He sold that business to work with Joel and Melissa in 2003.
Since she was a young girl, Diana has always liked gems and jewelry. Diana started working with JMR Jewelers in 2011. Before joining JMR Jewelers she was a sales associate at Squire International Jewelers for 12 years. And, prior to that, she worked with Carroll Jewelers for 10 years. She earned her Graduate Gemologist certificate from the Gemological Institute of America in 1981.
While studying at the GIA she originally wanted to pursue jewelry designing. Many people advised her to take gemology coursework to complement her jewelry design classes.
DIANA CARDENAS
Keeper of the Gems
Gemology quickly became her primary passion, but she also enjoys the creative aspect of custom jewelry design work. Diana works with customers on custom jewelry design projects, jewelry appraisals and sales.

JMR Mascot
Tyson is twelve years old and the store mascot who loves kids. He's a happy go lucky dog who is not afraid greet customers and bring a smile to their faces!
