Richard has owned Jewelers Workshop for over 40 years. A native to New York, he came to Madison to attend the university. His home has been Madison ever since. Richard began his career in the early 1970’s, selling his jewelry at Library Mall. Here he is today, still working at his bench to create handmade jewelry. His pieces are classic and elegant, but all with a bit of a twist, often featuring his favorite stone, opal.

Jason is co-owner of Jewelers Workshop and oversees all repairs and custom orders that come through the shop. Jason does all of our CAD designing as well as laser welding and construction. Jason’s designs are often modern with an art deco hint.

Johnny has been our go-to jeweler for stubborn repairs for over 30 years. He helped finish the woodwork in our State Street store, and since then he has developed into a precise craftsman and expert gem setter. After growing up in Middleton on a dairy farm, Johnny spent years traveling through India, Nepal, Tahiti, Thailand, Senegal and Afghanistan.

Rab is also part of the original crew from State Street. Rab’s role at Jewelers Workshop is wide-spread. If he is not working on the shop’s castings or carving a wax at his bench, he’s designing on the floor or working on a customer’s appraisal. You’ll find Rab’s designs intricate, stylized, and very detailed.
Jackie came to us 12 years ago. A car accident worked as a catalyst to bring her attention to designing and crafting jewelry. She has her B.A. in Fine Arts and graduated from the Howard Academy of the Metal Arts. Jackie likes to incorporate vintage, organic, and filigree elements into her work, and her favorite metal to work with is titanium and her favorite stone is Ethiopian Opal.
